At the heart of this project remains the same fearless mission: to illuminate the deep kinship between Baroque expression and modern improvisation. Arias by Monteverdi, Strozzi, and Purcell are not simply interpreted—they are set free to breathe, pulse, and shimmer in a new sonic world where ornamentation meets groove, counterpoint meets electronic resonance, and history meets invention.
The introduction of drums marks a bold evolution of the original ensemble, opening new rhythmic horizons, heightening interplay, and pushing the dialogue into strikingly visceral territory. The result is a performance where elegance and daring walk hand in hand, and the emotional power of the past becomes thrillingly contemporary.
This is Baroque in motion: rediscovered, reimagined, and intensely alive.
Performers:
Ilaria Crociani – voice
Mirko Guerrini – keys, winds, sound design
