I respectfully acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation, on whose unceded lands I live and make music.
In the spirit of reconciliation, I acknowledge all First Peoples of Australia and their enduring connections to Country.
I pay my respect to their Ancestors and Elders, past, present and emerging.
I fully support the Uluru Statement from the Heart, and for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voice to be enshrined in Australia's Constitution.

JAZZ WEEKLY, April 24, 2023
So here comes up from down under, in Australia, Ilaria Crociani, with a voice that is flexible, clear and with a hint of Joni Mitchell depth. [...]
Crociani displays some impressive dynamics, holding and releasing [...] and is drop-dead gorgeous as she sings in Italian on the tender folk mood of "Cosal Resta Del Giorno".

Swelling with life and feeling, Connecting the Dots is a moving body of music that directly connects to what is innate about being human. This is a full and holistic album that deserves all the support and attention.

Calda e sensuale la voce, così pure degni di nota gli acuti di Ilaria, ambasciatrice del belcanto jazz nostrano nella terra dei canguri.

RHYTHMS, May, 2023
Throughout, Crociani adapts, re-moulds, and shapes her voice in service to the songs. 'Eat My Dust', co-written with Niko Schäuble, recalls the distinctive arthouse stylings of Swiss singer Irene Aebi, best known for her work with saxophonist Steve Lacy. Crociani's shape-shifting vocals freewheel over a staccato beat, as if trying to outpace Guerrini's sax, as it feints and parries, dark and menacing.

Ilaria is a great storyteller both verbally and vocally. She has a warm voice that creates a sense of intimacy with the audience, but she can also reach into vocal high and low ranges for impact. She uses modulation and nuances to present the stories she tells with convinction and passion.

THE AGE, 9 May 2025
Most of the lyrics in Wednesday's program were in Italian, but Crociani prefaced each song with vivid stories that offered a window into the realm of various composers, characters and emotional states. Her vocal delivery, too, was effortlessly expressive, conveying the anguish of unrequited love or the yearning for divine intervention without a hint of bombast.
